How much memory does a Project Zomboid server need?

Pick by mods as well as players. 4 GB on Friends is plenty for a few players with light mods; big Workshop lists need more memory than the player count suggests.

The memory on each plan is reserved for your server.

Mods change the answer
A long Workshop list loads a lot into memory before anyone joins. For a big mod list, choose Community or Public even for a small group.
Changing size later
- Moving up charges the difference for the days left in your billing period.
- Moving down pays the difference for the days left back to your card, or keeps it as credit if you prefer.
If it doesn’t work
The server takes ages to start with mods
It downloads Workshop items as it starts, so the first start after adding mods is slow. If memory is close to full once it’s running, move up a size.
