Prices include everything, with nothing added at checkout. No VAT will be added to these prices. Each server is a subscription that renews automatically until you cancel, in one step in HQ; we email you before each renewal. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Founder offer: 10% off your first 12 months (on your first server only, for the first 200 accounts that pay, one per person; closes at 200 or on 31 March 2027). 72-hour full refund on your first purchase (one per customer). A thread is half of a processor core; bursts use idle processor time on the machine, so they aren’t guaranteed.
What you get on Minecraft Java
Loader and version switcher
Vanilla, Paper, Fabric, Forge or NeoForge, on the Minecraft version you choose. Nothing updates on its own: versions change only when you install or switch.
CurseForge modpacks
Pick a pack and HQ installs the right loader, version and mods in one step. Packs whose authors block third-party downloads use the official server pack.
Bedrock players can join
One switch installs Geyser and Floodgate and opens a second port for Bedrock players. Works with Paper and Fabric.
Family server
One switch in HQ turns the whitelist on, keeps inventory and stops players hurting each other. Friends who use your invite link ask to join, and nobody joins until you approve.
Linked servers
Put a lobby and other servers behind one address with a Velocity proxy. HQ writes velocity.toml, shares a modern forwarding secret with each server and restarts them in order, so players can’t skip the lobby.
Saves before every snapshot
HQ pauses saving, flushes the world to disk, takes the snapshot and turns saving back on, so a restore is never half-written.

How players join
Turn on Bedrock players in HQ’s Mods tab and HQ installs Geyser and Floodgate with Paper or Fabric. Bedrock players on phones, tablets and Windows join the same world without a Java account.
Mods and loaders
Pick the loader when you order, or switch later in HQ. HQ takes a snapshot first, changes the loader and reinstalls, so you can go back to the world as it was for up to 48 hours.
HQ stops the server, writes the file, checks it and starts it again. Each save can be undone on its own with Undo this change.

Running it yourself
- The computer running the server has to stay on, and online, whenever anyone wants to play.
- Friends outside your home usually need ports opened on your router, and most home broadband addresses can change.
- The server shares your computer’s memory, processor and upload speed with everything else you run on it.
- Game updates, backups and fixing it when it won’t start are up to you.

Good to know before you buy
What Minecraft Java on Exclsv can’t do, or does differently.
- Bedrock players can’t see blocks and items that mods add, so Bedrock joining suits plugin servers best. It needs Paper or Fabric.
- Modrinth packs aren’t offered yet: Modrinth’s terms say non-commercial use, and we’re asking for permission first. FTB packs aren’t offered yet either.
- You accept Mojang’s EULA when you order. Minecraft won’t start without it.
- One region: the UK. Friends far from the UK will have higher ping.
Questions about Minecraft Java servers
How much memory do I need for my Minecraft server?
2 GB suits vanilla with up to 10 friends and 4 GB about 20 players on Paper. Modpacks need more: 8 GB for Create or RLCraft, 12 GB for All the Mods. You can move up or down from HQ at any time and pay only the difference for the days left.
Can my friends on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch or phones join a Java server?
Phones, tablets and Windows, yes. Turn on Bedrock players in HQ’s Mods tab (Paper or Fabric) and they type the address and port. Consoles can’t type an address, and joining from the friends list isn’t ready in HQ yet.
Can I move my existing world onto the server?
Yes. Upload it as a .zip in HQ under Backups, Bring your world, and HQ takes a snapshot before anything is replaced. Bigger worlds can go over SFTP.
Is it safe for my children?
Account holders are 18 or over. Your child can have their own login on your account: it only sees the servers you share with it, and it can’t buy anything. The Family server switch turns on the whitelist, keeps inventory and stops players hurting each other, and friends who use your invite link wait until you approve them.
Someone wrecked our base. Can we undo it?
Yes. The time machine keeps hourly snapshots for up to 48 hours, so you can go back to, say, 19:00 from HQ. Off-site backups run every 6 hours and are kept for 7 days.
Which modpacks can I install?
CurseForge packs, installed in one step. Packs whose authors block third-party downloads fall back to the official server pack. Modrinth and FTB packs aren’t offered yet.
What if Minecraft isn’t for us after all?
Your first purchase has a 72-hour full refund (one per customer). After that you can cancel at any time and the server runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for.
