Each server is a subscription that renews automatically until you cancel, in one step in HQ; we email you before each renewal. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Founder offer: 10% off your first 12 months (on your first server only, for the first 200 accounts that pay, one per person; closes at 200 or on 31 March 2027). 72-hour full refund on your first purchase (one per customer). A thread is half of a processor core; bursts use idle processor time on the machine, so they aren’t guaranteed.
What you get on Minecraft Bedrock
Runs the current version
Bedrock players update from their store, and a server one version behind locks them out. By default your server updates as soon as a new version is out, with a snapshot first; you can pick a quiet time instead.
Add-on installer
Upload .mcpack and .mcaddon files and HQ registers them with the world, so behaviour and resource packs load first time.
Family server
One switch in HQ turns the whitelist on, keeps inventory and stops players hurting each other. Friends who use your invite link ask to join, and nobody joins until you approve.
Saves before every snapshot
HQ holds saving, waits until the files are ready to copy, takes the snapshot and resumes, so a restore is never half-written.

How players join
Phones, tablets and Windows join with the address and port. Consoles can’t type an address, and joining from the friends list isn’t ready in HQ yet, so console players can’t join for now. Java players can’t join a Bedrock server.
Mods and loaders
HQ’s add-on installer registers each pack with the world, so it loads the first time.
HQ stops the server, writes the file, checks it and starts it again. Each save can be undone on its own with Undo this change.
Good to know before you buy
What Minecraft Bedrock on Exclsv can’t do, or does differently.
- Java players can’t join a Bedrock server. If some friends play Java, choose Minecraft Java with Bedrock joining instead.
- Consoles can’t type an address, and joining from the friends list isn’t ready in HQ yet, so Xbox, PlayStation and Switch players can’t join for now.
- Bedrock has no mod loaders. Add-ons and packs only.
Questions about Minecraft Bedrock servers
Can my child join from a Switch, PS5 or Xbox?
Not yet. Consoles can’t type a server address and need the friends-list method, which isn’t ready in HQ yet. Phones, tablets and Windows can join with the address and port.
Is this cheaper than Realms?
Our 2 GB server is £4.99 a month for about 10 players, with hourly snapshots kept for up to 48 hours and support from a person. See our Realms comparison for the full picture.
My server isn’t showing up in Add Server. What do I do?
Check the address and port match HQ exactly. Consoles can’t add servers by address, so they can’t join yet.
Can Java players join?
No. A Bedrock server only takes Bedrock players. For a mixed group, choose Minecraft Java and turn on Bedrock joining.
How do I add add-ons?
Upload the .mcpack or .mcaddon in HQ. The installer registers the packs with your world, and players download them when they join.
What happens when Minecraft updates?
By default the server updates as soon as a new Bedrock version is out, with a snapshot first and one-click undo, because players on a newer version can’t join an older server. You can choose a daily quiet time instead.
