Valheim crossplay: join from PC, Xbox and PS5

With crossplay on, PC, Xbox and PS5 players play together on your Valheim server. They join with a join code instead of the address, and crossplay turns BepInEx mods off.

Turn crossplay on

1. In HQ, turn crossplay on in your server’s settings.
2. HQ restarts the server. The join code then shows on your server’s Join page and in the server header.
3. Send your friends the code and the server password.

Join with the code

1. In Valheim, choose Join game, then Join by code.
2. Type the join code.
3. Enter the server password.

Consoles can’t join by address, so console players always use the code.

Crossplay and mods

Crossplay turns BepInEx mods off, so modded servers are for PC players only. Turning crossplay on for a modded world can lose modded items: take a backup first, and restore it if you need them back.
