Put files on your server from the browser, from a link, or with SFTP. HQ unpacks .zip, .7z and .rar archives for you.
Upload from your computer
- In HQ, open your server, then More, then Files.
- Open the folder you want, then drop files or folders anywhere on the page, or choose Choose files.
Pull a file from a link
Choose Pull from a link and paste a public http or https link. The server downloads it, not your computer, so you can leave the page while it carries on.
Unpack an archive
Tick a .zip, .7z or .rar file and choose Unpack here. Password-protected, split or damaged archives are refused with the reason. Files inside must stay inside the folder.
Use SFTP
For lots of files, use an SFTP app such as FileZilla or WinSCP. SFTP details on the Files page has the address and your login. To sign in with a key instead of a password, add it under Account, then SSH keys.
If something goes wrong
Deleted files go to the Bin for 7 days (Backups, then Bin, then Put back), and your automatic backups have hourly copies.
If it doesn’t work
The disk is full
HQ warns you at 80% and 95%. At 100% it saves the world and stops the server cleanly. Delete old files, or add 25 GB or 50 GB of disk from Plan and billing.
